Whether your beloved animal is in spirit or still by your side physically, writing a poem about them can be a beautiful way to celebrate and nurture your relationship.

So let’s gather (virtually) and write poems about our animal companions!

During 90 magical minutes of hanging out on Zoom together, we’ll tap into our creativity and intuition to write poems inspired by our animal companions. (Sharing them is welcome but optional.)

If you want to have some fun expressing your love and appreciation for your animals and nourishing your creative spirit, then this party is for you.

You don’t need to be an experienced writer to join, but it might be helpful if you like to write at least a little bit.

And if you already walk around making up silly songs or poems about your pets and have been meaning to write them down then this is definitely the place for you. (I see you!)

Time: 7-8:30 pm ET (please note the time zone and adjust for yours)

Exchange: $25 per household

What to bring:

• Your writing tool of choice (pen and paper, laptop, phone, voice recorder, typewriter, etc.)

• A picture of the animal you’d like to write about (digital or print)

Optional:

• A candle

• Your favorite beverage

• Your partner, kids, or anyone else in your household (they’re welcome to join at no additional cost)

Meet Your Host (Me!)

I’m Olivia LaBarre (she/her/they/them): A professional animal communicator, Reiki master/teacher, certified Pet Loss Bereavement Specialist, writer, editor, and person to dogs Lucy and Milo.

I believe that our animal companions are so much more than pets and that our relationships with them are worth exploring, nurturing, and celebrating—even after they transition to the other side.

At home, I write little songs and poems about my dogs and loved ones all the time. It can feel fun, nourishing, and sometimes even healing.

When I began to hear intuitive whispers encouraging me to share this practice with others, I was all in. And so I created the Pet Poetry Writing Party.

During this gathering, I’ll guide you through the process of writing a poem about your beloved animal, whether they’re still with you physically or now in spirit.

My hope is that you leave feeling inspired, nourished, and maybe even a little closer to your animal companions.
